An opportunity to practice Yoga Nidra, an ancient healing art, with Sue Whitmarsh of True Nature Yoga & Ayurveda

  • Offering total rest for both mind and body, this class gives your overworked senses a break, and cultivates profound peace through a full body-scan relaxation. The perfect antidote to physical tension, mental stress and anxiety and sleep issues, all you need do is lay down, settle in, and be guided into a state of blissful relaxation that will leave you feeling both rested and renewed, resulting in what I hope will be the best night's sleep you've had in ages!

“Yoga Nidra is a practice of becoming a conscious creator in the world and of your own life. What do you want to create? Optimal health? Peace of mind? In a state of Yoga Nidra, you’re so relaxed, you transcend your body, your mind … you’re so relaxed it is as if your body disappears.” - Marc Halpern, President of the California College of Ayurveda

To register, email sue@truenatureyoga-ayurveda.com and we’ll send you the link for class and instructions on how to pay.

  • A slow, easeful, meditative practice, yin yoga targets the body’s deeper connective tissues - the fascia, ligaments, and tendons - where tension and tightness tend to hide out in the body. Postures are held for longer - between 2-5 minutes on average - which calls for the cultivation of conscious, mindful breathing and a deep awareness that draws us inward and results in a sense of peace and calm. Great option for those looking to develop greater flexibility in the body and a relaxed headspace. Accessible to all levels and abilities.

Afterwards, you’ll likely experience a sense of deep peace and ease. Ahhhhhhh……Suitable for everyone and particularly highly recommended if you are experiencing high levels of stress, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, have an overly full schedule and a lot on your plate.
