“Yoga Nidra is a practice of becoming a conscious creator in the world and of your own life. What do you want to create? Optimal health? Peace of mind? In a state of Yoga Nidra, you’re so relaxed, you transcend your body, your mind … you’re so relaxed it is as if your body disappears.” - Marc Halpern, President of the California College of Ayurveda

  • A slow, easeful, meditative practice, yin yoga targets the body’s deeper connective tissues - the fascia, ligaments, and tendons - where tension and tightness tend to hide out in the body. Postures are held for longer - between 2-5 minutes on average - which calls for the cultivation of conscious, mindful breathing and a deep awareness that draws us inward and results in a sense of peace and calm. Great option for those looking to develop greater flexibility in the body and a relaxed headspace. Accessible to all levels and abilities.

  • Done primarily in a chair, this class offers a gentle, therapeutic yoga practice accessible to all, especially those with mobility issues and who have difficulty getting up and down off the floor. We’ll explore many of the traditional poses, using the chair for support, to lengthen and strengthen the spine, improve posture and balance, and relax body and mind - all without putting stress on the joints. A wonderful choice for seniors, this practice is also a great choice for beginners, those recovering from surgery and for expectant/postpartum mothers. It also offers a low impact but still very effective work-out for everyone, whatever their level of experience, and in particular those looking to work on core strength and stability. You can even adapt this practice to do at work at your desk!

    Come, take a seat.

It is said that the body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness, and that the breath is the bridge between the two. Join us for an hour of mindful movement, calming breathwork and restful relaxation that will allow you to pause midway through the day, and bring you back into balance in both body and mind.

This is your weekly invitation to unfurl, unwind, create space in your body and soften your mind. Suitable for all levels, although an ability to get up and down off of the floor is necessary.
